Good COoks

sHARE YOUR PASSION FOR FOOD AT THE GOOD COOKS BOOTH

The Good Cooks booth is a space for market-goers to ask cooking questions! Local home cooks volunteer their expertise, and share recipes from a favorite cookbook (or two). When chefs and caterers staff the booth, they provide cooking demos and samples of original recipes.
Stop by to swap recipes and techniques! If you’re a good cook, consider sharing your love of cooking with a neighbor! And if you’re a chef or caterer who works with local produce, bring your business cards! Use this space to promote your good food!

Cooking together

Cooking Together volunteers lead and assist in cooking classes at the Westwood Transitional Village, a residential space for formerly unhoused families. We teach skills, not recipes. Our classes focus on easily incorporating vegetables into everyday meals. We encourage improvisation and ingredient-substitution, with the aim of helping families make the most of food donations and sale-bin items.
These classes rely on an experienced chef-educator volunteer, who teaches the class, as well as assistant volunteers to help kids cook along with the lesson.
These classes takes place on Thursday afternoons in Westwood Village and will be expanding to Inglewood soon! Volunteers with cooking experience are needed in both locations!

Teach hands-on, kid-friendly cooking classes!
